1. Fruit- in smoothies, with veggies, on salads, eaten alone- or made into juice. Try to eat 10 bananas a day (at least), or 20 dates a day- for beauty. Don't eat fruits after eating cooked meals because fruit digests faster than cooked foods and will ferment behind slower digesting foods- causing candida overgrowth.
2. Rice. I like having rice in vegetable soups for extra flavor, or alone with lemon juice and all-purpose seasoning. White rice does less damage to colon, unless otherwise cooked.

3. Pasta. I love the Ancient Grains Quinoa/Corn Pasta in the green box at the grocery store. It's gluten-free, which is good because gluten causes psychological disorders. It's important to check that the pasta is organic because corn is a widely known GMO crop. Top pasta with a homemade tomato sauce (tomatoes, onion, garlic, mushrooms, eggplant, herbs, etc.), and you're set. Or, you could even try making your own vegetable noodle soup!

4. Potatoes. I love baking sweet potatoes, and eating them plain. I also love peeling, julienning, and boiling regular potatoes. They are just like french fries. You can also bake them into chips.

5. GMO-free, fair-trade Sugar. I emphasize GMO-free because sugar beets are a GMO-crop, and GMOs were proven to cause tumor growths and other maladies in rats. You can also try a low-sodium/low-fat/gluten-free/gmo-free cereal and rice milk, with the sugar. Try Sucanat (dehydrated cane juice crystals) or coconut sugar.
What our bodies need is...
LOW-FAT... less than 10g overt fats a day, at most. That means half an avocado a day or less if you want the most energy possible. If you aren't athletic or particularly active, it doesn't matter as much.
LOW-SODIUM... less than 1g, or 1,000 mg of salt a day. To stay slim (avoiding water-weight blubber), and for overall health!
Post: What About Salt?
VEGAN... NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS!
HIGH-CARB! Choose foods that are rich in carbohydrates. Did you know fats have twice the amount of calories as carbs? Our bodies run on glucose so it makes sense that when we eat fats our absorption of glucose is inhibited, it doesn't want the fats!
HIGH-RAW! For beauty, optimal health and energy- choose raw fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. You can even get away with eating ONLY fruits and vegetables- which is actually optimal.
Alright, I hope that clarifies for you what you need to be eating for optimal health.
