Entirely made from stainless steel chain mail = fully recyclable.
For all water use, and mild terrain.
Not good for smooth floors (they're slippery), or high friction surfaces (asphalt/concrete.)

ULTRA PAWS ( N / A / U / I )
The different sets of "Paws" at a glance:
The individual sets of "Paws" differ in arrangement, paw size, material hardness and paw thickness. All versions are extremely slip-resistant on any surface on land and also excellent for all waters and every conceivable water sport! Comes in colors: Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, Gray and Black.
► For rather soft soils
► Small, soft Paws (Shore A 65) with a thickness of 2.0 mm
► For mixed soils
► Medium sized, resistant paws (Shore A 78) with a thickness of 2.5 mm
► For rocky, natural surfaces
► Large, abrasion resistant paws (Shore A 90) with a thickness of 3.0 mm
Slip resistant on artificial/smooth surfaces.
Most grip & flexibility.
More insulation, protection & comfortability with no noticeable change to the 'barefoot feel', very quiet.
Used in sports such as surfing, sailing rock climbing, etc.
Not fully recyclable.
Choose Paws if you plan on transitioning from earth surfaces to man-made surfaces. Like for example; coming out of the water and onto a boat. They grip instead of slip. Never wear on concrete, though.
Even with the Multi-Paws option....
... they shouldn't be running shoes for paved surfaces! Although ULTRAs can now be used anywhere, and for any application with the additional "Paws", our recommendation is still to gravitate towards natural, variable terrains for running. Asphalt, rough pavement and concrete have always been the worst enemy for tyres, shoes and even the bare soles of the feet. In particular, this applies to metal and our stainless steel chain mail soles. For example, think of snow chains on bare asphalt. These substrates are extremely abrasion intense and only our strongest "Paws" are able to keep up with such high-friction surfaces!
Furthermore, we are convinced that our feet are not designed for intense, sustained loads on hard and flat surfaces. Instead, the biomechanics of our feet lend themselves to varied surfaces and the cushioning of natural terrains.
